The 8th edition of the national final of Young Car Mechanic in Poland has come to an end. The students who competed in the Polish final were not sure until the last moment which of them would be the winner. What's even more exciting, there were two winners for the first time in the history of the competition organized by Inter Cars, but only one of them will represent Poland in the International Final in Lithuania.

If we were still living in the 1990s, newspapers would be full of ads saying "Car mechanic urgently wanted." Nowadays, similar posts are on job portals, and their number increase every year. The same cannot be said about the number of mechanics. So how can this be solved? The automotive industry is working intensively on this. One initiative is the Young Car Mechanic competition, organized by Inter Cars, which SDCM joined this year as a patron.

Everything we talked about and what has happened in the last few months was confirmed on March 23 and 24 in Zagreb. Viktor Vugrinčić from Elektrostrojarska obrtnička škola (ESOS) (the Electromechanical School Zagreb) won the 3rd National Croatian Final of Young Car Mechanic, which means he and his mentor will take part in the International Final in Lithuania at the end of June.

The Young Car Mechanic contest, one of the most prestigious educational events in the automotive industry, is gaining strong support. MILWAUKEE® has joined the group of supporting companies and has become a technical partner of the competition.

This years “Young Car Mechanic 2021” contest took place for the 13th time. Since its inception, the competition has had a lot of changes and we are pleased that it has evolved from beeing local event to the extensive Young Car Mechanic project that is known globally.

The first days of spring saw the start of the 2nd round of the regional finals of the Young Car Mechanic competition in Hungary. In five different parts of the country, 30 students tried to decide which of the 6 young people would be the best and reach the national finals of the Young Car Mechanic competition.

Despite the raging covid-19 pandemic, in the lockdown condition in all schools we just completed the seond stage of Young Car Mechanic 2021 contest in Poland.
